Hayim Synagogue

ABOUT US
At
Etz Hayim Synagogue you will find a warm, caring community. The
synagogue was formed in 1991 as an independent, liberal synagogue,
committed to be open to all seekers, to provide services for Shabbat
and holidays, to educate both children and adults, to work to repair
the world (Tikkun Olam), and to cultivate a warm, caring
community. Etz Hayim is affiliated with the Union of Reform
Judaism (URJ) and is an active partner with the Jewish Federation of
New Hampshire.
In 2005 we staged a successful Capital Campaign to raise funds for a
building of our own. Our plans are to construct our synagogue
building on Hood Road, adjacent to the Church of the Transfiguration
where we have held services since 1993. Click here for the latest
news about our building.

Kehilah: A
Place of Celebrate and Community
Etz Hayim offers an intimate community in which you can celebrate the
cycles of your life. We welcome babies, celebrate as our children
ascended to the Torah at their Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies, dance at
weddings, offer support in times of illness and mourn at
funerals.
Tikkun Olam:
A Place for Repairing the World
Etz Hayim helps its own members, joins with others to aid the needy in
our community, raises awareness and aid for Israel, and provides
support for national and international causes as part of our work for
Tikkun Olam, to repair the world. We have many blessings, and
this is one way to give a blessing in return.
Halacha: A
Place for Spiritual Life
Etz Hayim wants to help you put it altogether. A spiritual life
would integrate all of the elements – prayer and learning,
community and Tikkun Olam.
A Place to
Make a Difference
Etz Hayim welcomes your involvement. We encourage you to make
suggestions, to ask questions, to push to see that we meet your
needs. Our members provide the best ideas for our program and our
growth. We invite you to help us grow.
