Etz Hayim wants to help you put it all
together. The Mishnah teaches that one must pursue Torah
with Derekh Eretz – spirituality with action in the world. What
we learn from Torah informs the ways in which we walk through the
world. A spiritual life integrates all of the elements – prayer
and learning, community and Tikkun Olam.
Shavua Tov is a project begun
in January, 2007 with a goal of providing one mitzvah, one good act per
week that one can do in daily life. Every week we send an email,
also posted on our web site, which describes one way you can implement
Judaism in the course of your week. We provide a summary of the
traditional roots of this action as well as a description of ways you
can carry it out.
The sum total of our work at Etz Hayim is to help you create a
meaningful life. Jewish ritual, teachings and action guide an
individual toward a life of holiness. If there is any way we can
help you pursue that goal, please ask.
