Apple Appeal

ETZ HAYIM SYNAGOGUE

8TH ANNUAL APPLE APPEAL

L’SHANA TOVA

TIKATEVU

Apples are symbolic of the sweetness of the New Year and their abundance during this season. But just as apples are in abundance, so too are our operating expenses. Whether you attend services once a year at High Holidays or several days a week, Etz Hayim stands here for you 24/7/365. And while you are not here, the electric meter is running and the internet keeps humming, the grass needs mowing and the snow keeps blowing, the heat is kicking and the front door is sticking, and the teachers are teaching and the Rabbi is preaching.

This year, we have created a virtual Apple Appeal secure shopping website where each apple represents an item of need, ranging from $50 for general supplies to $6,160.75 for a mortgage payment, and everything in between – $175 for Comcast, $120 for Casella trash pickup, $770 for a Palmer Gas propane fill, etc. There are also opportunities to buy a Hebrew school tuition scholarship or buy a brick for our Path of Life. Please visit https://donate.etzhayim.org to find an apple according to your budget and your heart.

The traditional Apple Appeal tree is also in the Etz Hayim lobby if you choose to pick one the old-fashioned way while picking up your prayer book. And at the same time, don’t forget to take a real apple or two provided by the orchards of the Martin Family.

Your family’s generosity will be listed in the Etz Hayim bulletin.

Thank you in advance. L’shanah Tovah. May you have a sweet year.
