apple tree

Have you seen the "Apple Tree?" From Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot, apples represent the sweetness of the new year and a symbol of the harvest festival, particularly here in New Hampshire. As abundant as apples are this time of year, so are the expenses of running our synagogue. You will see that each apple represents an item of expense - anywhere from a $10 box of coloring pencils to a $600 PSNH bill to an $8,000 mortgage payment. Simply pick an apple and write your name on the corresponding log out sheet and send a check for your item to Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1-1/2 Hood Road, Derry, NH 03038, and clearly identify the name of your item. Your family will then be acknowledged in our upcoming Newsletter(s).

We are so grateful to those who have already chosen their apples. The tree will remain in the lobby through the end of September, so there is "apple" opportunity to still participate. For those of you unable to get to the synagogue before the end of the month, you can choose your item from the attached lists of Apple Tree items and send your check to the synagogue clearly identifying the name of your item
